What is Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan?
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is a clear time frame for universal elementary education, a response to the demand for quality basic education all over the country. It is an attempt to provide human capabilities to all the children through provision of community owned quality education in a mission mode. It is also considered an effort at effectively involving the Panchayat Raj, Constitution, School Management committees, Village and Urban slum level education committees, parents Teachers Associations. Moreover Teachers Association and other grass root level structures in the management of elementary schools. It is a partnership between the Central, State and Local Government and an opportunity for States to develop their own vision of elementaryeducation.
State Level Vocational Competitions were organized by the Vocational Department in which the students participated enthusiastically and came up with novel and unique presentations and won prizes at different levels.
Text books and notebooks are provided to the students by SSA and DEO every year free of cost at the starting of session. In this session 1868 books were provided by SSA and 2264 books were provided by deptt.4135 notebooks were also provided by department.These kind of facilities help a lot to the poor students thus facilitating them and motivating them towards studies.
Aims and Objectives of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is to provide useful me and relevant elementary education for all children in que age group of 6 to 14 by 2010. There is another goal to bridge Social, regional and gender gaps, with the active participation of community in the management of Schools. Main objective include completion of primary schooling by 2007 and children should complete their elementary schooling by 2010. There should be focus on elementary education od satisfactory quality with emphasis on education for life. So, these are all the aims and objectives of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and we will hope that aims will improve our education system.
